Avi Sidhu Performs Live in Brampton, Continuing His Journey as a Punjabi Artist
BRAMPTON, ON – Avi Sidhu, a Toronto-based Punjabi artist originally from New Dalla near Jagraon, Punjab, India, performed live at BTown MegaFest on August 8, 2026, at CAA Centre Grounds in Brampton, continuing his journey as an emerging artist in Canada’s Punjabi music scene.
During his performance, Avi Sidhu connected with the audience through his music and stage presence, with members of the crowd dancing and enjoying the performance.
Avi Sidhu performed his song “Petrol,” which is also commonly recognized and searched by listeners through the phrase “Shita Petrol Da.” He also performed a few upcoming song lines.
The BTown MegaFest August 8 lineup featured a number of Punjabi and South Asian performers, including Jasmine Sandlas, Deep Jandu and other artists, who performed throughout the event. Avi Sidhu performed earlier in the event.
The appearance marked another performance for Avi Sidhu at the event, following his appearance at BTown MegaFest in Brampton in 2025.
Originally from New Dalla near Jagraon, Punjab, India, Avi Sidhu began his musical journey in 2023. His first released song, “Vadda Jigra,” marked the beginning of his journey as a recording artist.
Since then, Avi Sidhu has continued developing his Punjabi music catalogue and live performance career in Canada. His recent release “Barood” adds to his growing body of work as he continues to establish himself as an emerging Punjabi artist.
At 22 years old, Avi Sidhu is building his musical identity between his Punjabi roots and his life in Toronto, using new music and live performances to connect with Punjabi audiences in Canada and beyond.
