Energy Point Minerals confirms 6N ultra-high-purity silica in Nevada
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Energy Point Minerals LLC says independent third-party laboratory testing has confirmed ultra-high-purity silica from its Nevada project at 99.99997% SiO₂ silicon dioxide (SiO₂), or 6N purity, a result the company believes could strengthen domestic supply chains for semiconductor manufacturing, artificial intelligence infrastructure and other advanced technologies.
According to the company, third party laboratory results dated June, 2026, post production found the finished product silica is at 99.99997% SiO₂contained approximately one part per million of impurities, placing it in the ultra-high-purity category required for advanced industrial applications. Energy Point said the material could be used in the production of semiconductors, crucibles, optical fiber, advanced quartz glass, solar products, aerospace components and AI-related hardware.
The company said the findings position its Nevada project as a potential new U.S. domestic source of ultra-high-purity silica. The purity is significant at a time when the United States is seeking to expand production of strategic critical minerals and reduce reliance on a limited number of global suppliers. For decades, North Carolina’s Spruce Pine district has been widely recognized as a leading source of high-purity quartz used in robotics, fiber optics, AI, aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing.
“This is not a theoretical projection or an inferred purity target. It’s third-party, lab-tested and verified,” Energy Point Minerals CEO Nephi Barlow said in a statement.
Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer Jason Roe added, “The June third-party laboratory results confirmed purity above 6N silica, creating a strategic stockpile in a key geographical location. What we have called a strategic geographical cluster—a reserve within 300 miles of key manufacturers like TSMC and Intel—creates supply resilience.”
Energy Point said the project is supported by a Regulation S-K 1300 technical reporting framework and that the laboratory findings represent a new technical milestone in its mineral development program. However, the company emphasized that additional technical work is required before commercial production can begin.
Future studies will focus on confirming the consistency of the 6N purity across the deposit, evaluating recovery rates and processing requirements, analyzing impurity profiles, qualifying products for prospective customers, and exploring production and offtake opportunities. The company is also evaluating whether the project could support a regulated mineral-asset tokenization model that could allow future financing through digital securities backed by independently documented mineral resources. Energy Point said any such structure would remain subject to regulatory compliance, technical validation and commercial evaluation.
The company cautioned that the laboratory confirmation applies only to the tested sample and does not establish deposit-wide purity, commercial recoverability or economic viability. Those factors will require additional engineering, customer qualification, regulatory approvals and feasibility studies before commercial development decisions can be made.
