Kiki T and Sumi X Flip the Vacation Fling on New Dance-Pop Single “Prosecco”
LOS ANGELES, CA – September 07, 2026 – Kiki T teams with Sumi X on “Prosecco,” a sultry, uptempo dance-pop track built for the last stretch of summer, when the drinks are strong and a vacation romance does not need to survive the flight home to be worth having.
“Prosecco” flips one of pop’s most familiar romantic setups by making her the person with the money and the leverage. The boat is hers, and so are the terms. She can have the fantastic vacation fling without pretending it needs to become something bigger after checkout.
This is territory Kiki has visited before, only now the power balance has changed. On “Night Swim,” the opening track from her recent Aqua Obscura EP, she explored the freedom of a temporary encounter. “Prosecco” gives that woman the resources to create the fantasy herself.
“Prosecco reads as a vacation fling at first glance,” Kiki says. “But writing it came from this place of fantasy, imagining a woman who was totally in her freedom, feeling hot and totally in control.”
Co-produced by Max Steger and Sly Wes, “Prosecco” moves on an uptempo dance-pop foundation while Kiki T and Sumi X trade vocals through beach bars and hotel rooms. The title becomes the song’s central metaphor for attraction that hits quickly and goes straight to the head. The chorus makes clear that he may be difficult to keep, but keeping him was never necessarily the objective.
The writing has fun with the luxury surrounding the encounter without treating it as decoration. Sunset sends them below deck, where she shuts the window on the view and turns her attention elsewhere. By the bridge, Barcelona and Saint-Tropez have become shorthand for the kind of holiday where access changes the rules. Even when the sexual dynamic shifts, the larger premise stays intact because she owns the circumstances around the night and remains free to leave them behind.
Kiki explains, “If a woman is no longer reliant on a man for her completeness, her financial stability, the dream vacation, then how can men remain important to us? The answer? Be a man worthy of our efforts. Or just one we want to have fun with on our terms. Duh.”
“Prosecco” follows a strong run for Kiki T, whose five-track Aqua Obscura EP has been racking up streams since its August release. She is also coming off the HIMA-winning “American Dream,” the Sumi X single she co-wrote. The song took Message Song / Social Impact at the 2026 Hollywood Independent Music Awards, giving the pair an award-winning creative connection before “Prosecco” reached listeners.
The Kiki T and Sumi X partnership looks very different here. While “American Dream” carried social weight, “Prosecco” lets them play with the fantasy of a woman who can afford to call the shots.
Kiki T and Sumi X are not trying to turn the vacation fling into forever. “Prosecco” is more interested in what happens when a woman can have the suite and the man for one spectacular night, then go home because that was always the plan.
