Callie Carpenter takes immense pride in her family’s cookie recipes, and her life couldn’t get any better with constant supplies of warm delicious cookies. This, however, changed when her brother Nate Carpenter became intolerant to dairy and gluten almost overnight.
What followed next was months of redevelopment and rigorous testing to reinvent their family recipes to cater to people with restrictive diets and food intolerances, without compromising on taste, texture and consistency. They eventually arrived at their ‘A-Ah’ moment when a single bite of their cookie was undeniably delicious, and even better than those that included dairy and gluten.
The family business was born, and they were quickly invited to participate in an investors pitch competition, where they walked away as winners, along with access to a business incubator to further grow their business. There has been no turning back for the family since then.
