MODERN BLK GIRL Launches Channel and Pays Teens to Build Wealth
New York, NY – Founded by financial guru Tiffany James (26), “Modern Blk Girl” (MBG) has evolved from being the largest woman-led finance room on the popular Clubhouse App, with over one hundred thousand followers, into a platform designed to educate Black women and girls on the stock market, wealth-building, and managing a stock portfolio.
In its first year, the MBG brand has collaborated with influencers and celebrities such as Meek Mill, 21 Savage, and DJ Kitty Ca$h to introduce Black Millenials and Gen Z’s to the market and corporations such as Gilead Sciences, Inc. and the Motley Fool.
The May 12 launch of the “Modern Blk GIrl” YouTube channel will introduce to the first graduating class of MBG’s TEEN University initiative, including Miss Houston Teen 2021 Jessica Franklin. James wants The “Modern Blk Gir”l YouTube channel to serve as a platform to educate, motivate and encourage.
“There is no doubt that it is an extraordinary burden to be of a Black woman in America,” James said. “The experience of being a Modern Blk Girl will create resilience, courage, pride. MBG is a safe space to develop financial independence. If it takes a village – this is her tribe.
“TEEN University” is an immersive 4-week program educating young women ages 15 thru 19 on how to invest and navigate the stock market. Each month the selected girls will receive mentor sessions and a cash wallet to start their investing and trading journey. A College grant will be given annually.
