WIDEL is an artist who first appeared on the US music scene six years ago in 2014. Today, he has exceeded his wildest dreams and expectations to be one of the most versatile artists who excels in many different genres, from Pop Romantic to Romantic Style, Urban Flow, and countless others.
Early Life
Born in Cuba, WIDEL was heavily influenced by his maternal grandfather, who was an orchestra singer in the 1960s and 1970s. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, he began taking both piano and singing lessons at age ten.
WIDEL continued studying music until age 19. Then he left school and began to play with different Tropical Music Orchestras throughout Cuba. Life in his home country was challenging; however, there was a massive lack of quality of life, and just living was difficult.
He and three friends made a simple wooden sailboat and took to the seas. They had decided to take a chance and risk their lives to set out looking for a better one. After a harrowing trip that lasted for four days and five nights, the four friends reached the shores of the place they call Tierras de Liberated – the United States of America.
Musical Career
That was six years ago – when he immediately began working his way up in the American music scene. WIDEL did not limit himself to one type of music or attempt to cram himself into one genre. Staying true to his musical roots, WIDEL focused simply on making the best music he could, no matter the kind.
This versatile artist has gone further faster than he, and many others, ever thought possible. He has met and raised his goals to continue reaching ever higher in both his personal and professional life.
