Harper Grace is coming to Harvest and Equine Fest being held to raise funds and awareness for Shining Light Equestrian.

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – October 28, 2019 – Local nonprofit equine therapeutic riding center Shining Light Equestrian, is hosting a Harvest and Equine Fest with benefit concert at their new farm located in Powell on November 9 featuring American Idol finalist Harper Grace with a show for all ages.

The event runs from 10 AM until 5 PM (rain or shine) and will feature craft and other vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and horseback riding for ages four and up. The Harper Grace concert begins at 2 PM. Shining Light Equestrian is located at 2724 Lakewood Lane at the site of the historic Lakewood Pool in Powell.

Established as a nonprofit in 2018 by PATH-certified therapeutic riding instructor Sara Faye McGinnis, Shining Light Equestrian serves people of all ages and all skill levels and abilities. Their motto is, “We don’t rescue horses. Our horses help rescue humans.” The focus is on serving the whole family unit and they provide therapeutic horseback riding lessons to children and adults with special needs and without.

The event is being produced by Kristen Hancock, founder and CEO of GroFundz, which was founded to help families and nonprofits promote awareness and raise funds as life’s challenges arise. Hancock, whose daughter took lessons at Shining Light Equestrian, says of the organization, “I am passionate about this because it is a unique service and so needed in our community. Seeing the benefits to my own daughter, I know how powerful therapeutic riding is from first-hand experience.” About the concert Hancock says, “I am thrilled to bring Harper Grace to Knoxville for this benefit concert because her message of hope and anti-bullying is right in line with Shining Light Equestrian’s mission of helping those who are in need and at risk with the help of their amazing horses.”

Tickets for the event are $18 for adults and $10 for children 3-11. There are two upgraded options for an elite experience for $55 that includes horseback riding and event swag; and the VIP ticket includes a private meet and greet with Harper Grace for $100. Craft vendors booths are available for $75 – $120. Food truck space available for $50-$120.
